Philip I, 244-249. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 33 mm, 23.00 g, 1 h), Rome, 246. IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I to right, seen from behind. Rev. P M TR P III COS P P / S - C Felicitas standing front, head to left, holding long caduceus in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left. Cohen 125. Hunter 56. RIC 149a corr. (reverse legend). Beautifully struck on a broad flan and with lovely orichalcum surfaces. Minor edge splits and with traces of corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
